Tamadochi is a Mac pet game by ByteRove. Your game stays on your Mac. No account, ads, or tracking.
1. Information stored on your Mac
Pet status, progress, play records, items, and settings are saved on your device so you can continue playing. The app does not automatically send this data to ByteRove or an analytics service.
The photo feature creates an image of your pet and room and saves it to the photo folder. It does not use your camera or capture other apps. Backups or folder syncing follow your device and cloud-service settings.
2. Permissions
Tamadochi runs in macOS App Sandbox. It uses window information and coordinate checks provided by macOS to locate the Dock and position the game beside it. This information is processed on your Mac and is not sent to ByteRove or third parties.
Dock tracking does not request Accessibility or Screen Recording permission and does not click or capture the screen.
Notifications: shows local care reminders when enabled.
File access: saves pet photos in the app’s sandbox container by default. If you choose another folder in the app’s folder picker, photos are saved there. The app remembers permission to use that folder for future saves.
You can change notification permissions in macOS System Settings. Choose or change the photo folder in Tamadochi Settings.
3. Sharing and external services
Tamadochi has no advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising. The app does not upload your game records or photos to third parties.
Apple’s services, including App Store distribution and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple, are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
4. Support inquiries
If you email us, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. We use them only to respond and resolve your inquiry. The app does not attach game data or diagnostics automatically.
We keep inquiry information only as long as needed to handle the request, then delete it without undue delay, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information.
5. Deleting data and your choices
In Tamadochi Settings, choose “Reset All Data…” to clear your saved pet, play records, items, and settings and start a new game. Saved photos are not deleted; you can remove them in Finder. Manage any separate backups through the service that created them.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you sent in an inquiry, contact us below. We cannot access game data stored only on your Mac.
